The Dubai Police have officially arrested the gang responsible for robbing over AED3 million worth of jewellery.
The city’s police force managed to arrest the team of five just 48 hours after they robbed a cheap pandora charms store in International City.
According to an official statement released by Dubai Police, the staff were locked in the bathroom while the gang stole the valuables. After grabbing what they could, the gang then fled the scene in different directions.

The case was investigated by officers at Rashidiya Police Station after receiving a call at 10am on Wednesday morning.
Speaking on the case, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander in chief of Research and Criminal Affairs, said there was over $16 million (AED60m) worth of jewellery in the store at the time of the theft.
He added that the execution and attention to detail lead them to believe that they were dealing with experts.

Following further investigation a special team was put in place who began their search by sharing details of the stolen goods across the UAE.
The investigation team was then able to identify the five individuals of Asian descent. Three of which were found hiding in one of the border areas in Al Ain city and two hiding in the Ruwais area in Abu Dhabi.

Following this success, the police then carried out an early morning raid on their suspected location, where they found and arrested all five culprits.
All of the stolen pandora birthstone rings along with the tools used to conduct the heist were found in their possession.

The commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, has since praised the team for their ability to catch the culprits so fast.
He also urged all business owners with large quantity of valuables to tighten their security.
This isn’t the first time that the Dubai Police have managed to bust a gang in such a short period of time.
In April this year, they managed to catch a team of six responsible for stealing AED2million worth of gold in just 24 hours.
